Since our launch in 2009, you have listed over 6,000 garage sales and viewed our pages nearly 1,000,000 times! We appreciate all of your comments and suggestions, and want to continue to improve our services for you.

We have just added some new features to the website that we hope you'll find useful:

Featured Listings

Featured Listings are now available to help you promote your sale. By adding this option to your sale, your sale will show up in the Featured Sales section of the OwatonnaGarageSales.com homepage, just below here. You'll also be able to add up to 5 photos to your listing to show off your big-ticket items or other key items of interest on your sale! Your sale will also be included in our weekly newsletter that is described below. Featured Listings are entirely optional, and, as always, listing your sale is still completely FREE! Simplified Listing Process

Our listing process has been simplified, and now only requires a single step. You can add dates to your sale right on the same page where you enter your address, title and description. You'll need to enter at least one date before you can submit your sale, but hopefully this will prevent some frustration of your sale not showing up because you were just too excited to be listing your sale for FREE that you forgot to add dates on the second part of the listing process :-) Please let us know what you think about this new listing process, or if you have any issues.

Weekly Newsletter

We will be sending out a weekly email newsletter with tips for both having and finding great garage sales. These newsletters will also show off the Featured Listings upcoming in the next few weeks. Get all the best sales right in your email inbox by signing up here, or when you list your garage sale.

Mobile Website

OwatonnaGarageSales.com has been optimized to work better on your mobile device! Finding sales while you're on the go is now easier than ever, with the calendar, sales listings and maps now fitting on your mobile device's screen with less zooming and panning required. The improved maps features described below really shine through here, and make navigating your sale routes much easier. All of the features of the full website should still be availabe through the "Menu" button in the upper-left corner of each page. If you'd like to switch back to the full version of the website, you can still do so by using the link at the very bottom of the page.

City Filters

Now when you view a date, the cities that have sales will appear in a list at the top of the page. Simply uncheck the box next to any city that you don't want to see in the list and those sales will disappear! We'll be expanding our coverage to more cities later this year, so this will help narrow down your searching when you want to focus on a particular city. But who limits themselves to just one city's deals anyway, right? :-)

Improved Maps Functionality

By using the new API for Google Maps, we're able to better show the locations of all the sales you're looking for and have all the new features of the full Google Maps including Street View. A link to the map for all the sales for a city is now below the city name on the sales list, and you're still able to select which sales you'd like to view by checking the box next to a sale in the list and clicking the "View Printable List of Selected Sales" button at the bottom of the page. There are even sharing options on the map page to let you share your map with others!
